Finishing Touches

We made a low value purchase using a debit card, as we walked out the shop, the owner commented to his colleague "she paid by card, what a sorry state of affairs". We instantly returned the item because of this rude comment. The owner was still uttering similar comments as we left. A real shame, because the stock is quite nice, we would have probably returned to buy more gifts. If you don't want customers using cards under a certain amount, put a sign up!

I went into the shop today and said hello to the owner. I was on the phone to my elderly mother as she wanted me to find a gift for her. I was wandering around the shop looking at items and telling my mum on the phone. When I left the shop with ideas I said thankyou and walked out. The owner shouted at me as I walked out calling me rude as she didn't have chance to offer assistance. She started walking towards me Intimidating me calling rude for walking around her shop whilst being on the phone. I explained I had not approached her at the till and had a Conversation with her so I wasn't being rude. She continued to shout at me and mimicking me walking around with a phone in front of me, which I responded the phone was to me ear and I did not walk around with it on loud speaker shouting as she implied. She was extremely rude and upsetting to the point my family come back over the street as they seen her shouting abuse at me telling me I was not aloud yo use a mobile phone in her shop. I suggested if that was the case she should have a sign on her door. Unfortunately we missed out on purchasing some lovely gifts due to the poor ownership and disgusting insulting and intimidating behaviour. I'm just glad I was not an older lady being abused or a young girl who wouldn't be able to stick up for herself. Lucky for me I had family on the other side of thw Street who saw her come out after me and heard the shouting. Unfortunately the lady was not able to approach me In the shop to tell me phones were not permitted she waited until I left the shop to shout abuse at me!

A great gift shop in Weymouth They sell a wide range of items that will suite everyones pocket. Owner helpful and friendly.

I love love these gift shops, where you need to buy something for a loved one when on holiday, but have no idea what! This shop has so much nice stock, you come out with something for yourself too! Local gifts and greeting cards. A treasure trove.
