        I despise the council. Get your bin man to actually do their collections! And stop increasing your taxes out of nowhere.

        The staff are actually quite helpful but the phone system is so appallingly bad that it's near-impossible to get through to them. The system is obviously set up to make you hang up and use the website instead, but the website doesn't answer all questions. Like I said, this is frustrating as the staff are actually quite nice and have helped me a fair bit. Just takes a huge effort to get through to them in the first place!

        We were fined incorrectly by an enforcement officer in Weymouth. He accused us of having our dog off lead illegally. However we were not in an area where this was illegal. It took 5 worrying and frustrating contacts with the council before they would stop insisting the fine was issued correctly and refund our money. The council were unreasonable, brutish and displayed the worst side of bureaucracy in all their dealings with us and finally stopped replying to my mails. Weymouth is lovely, the council are not and anyone who has a dog would be well advised to avoid the place.
