We visited for the pop up evening, it's pre book only and have to pay a deposit of 40 which is taken from the final bill, it's in an odd area to say the least, at the basepoint offices at the back of jubilee industrial estate. It was a set menu so we knew what to expect with the food however it definitely exceeded our expectations! The food was genuinely delicious and well presented. The service was ok, we were forgotten about a few times and had to repeatedly ask for things, the table next to us received a very friendly, personal service though. The seating is quite close and intimate so it's difficult to have a conversation without having to talk over everyone around you. The toilets are outside the restaurant at the end of the walkway which isn't ideal. The parking is free for one hour then you have to download an app to pay for the rest of your time, one hour is not appropriate for a five course dinner. The drinks are very over priced, 28 for a mediocre bottle of wine, 8 for a rum and coke which was definitely supermarket own brand. We chose not to have a tea or coffee and just waited for the lemon cake which was quite dry and not the best at the end of a heavy meal. All in all not a bad experience but could do with polishing up the slight issues.

Kid-friendliness: Everyone at W51 made the children very welcome. Parking: Plenty of spaces outside, just be sure to get a ticket.

Highly recommend this hidden gem. Not only does it have a nice little deli inside the cafe but it incorporates those foods into it's meals. If you love very spicy, you will love the kimchi which I had as a side. The crab linguini was good and the pannacotta and alcohol prunes was also nice. Also ate pheasant in the past and that was really good. Value for money is really good also and the service is really friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit if you want a well cooked lunch.
