Customer service - our meals were awful and despite the waiter being polite he asked if we would like to see the manager, we replied yes but still he didn't come to address any of our complaints. The cleanliness of the bowels offered to us was shockingly dirty, old food ingrained on them, and replacements were also dirty. Lack of salad varieties, no basics I.e. cucumber, beetroot etc

I'm sorry to say but this restaurant is disappointing the way they talked to my family and them not explaining what they didn't have at the front desk when we have multiple picky eaters and vegetarians with us and the manager didn't have a clue that there was no chicken left and swore at my family because of abit of banter and humiliated my family by saying he will spell out his name after us asking what he's surname is and saying that Is Simon spelt s,i,m,o,n, cause there are two ways to spell it and they were arsey and we have children they said we would be chucked out and sent back home in our taxi and it would be paid for terrible experience one of the worst

We went to The spy Glass last weekend. Having booked very efficiently online. On arrival we were told there would be a long wait due to staff shortages. The gentleman I assume was the manager ( wearing white shirt) was doing everything thing he could to try to catch up with orders, clearing tables and taking further orders. My friends and I were on a weekend break, but were happy to wait as we were informed right from the start this would be the case. Food arrived all great as usual and we had a lovely time. In situations like this I this the manager did an absolutely great job, especially being honest from the start how long it would take for food to arrive. He was clearly literally rushed off his feet but kept his composure, and ploughed through. So many people are quick to complain, but we wanted to thank him and his staff for a lovely evening, so all their hard work paid off. Well done to you all .
