We were on the waiting list for NHS speech therapy, but it's been over a year and so we thought we'd try to go privately - so glad we did. Our five year old struggled to make himself understood, which seems to have impacted his confidence. I don't think we appreciated how much of an issue it was until we started seeing Julie and rapidly saw an impovement in his speech and his self esteem, suffice to say, he has a lot to say about the world! He sleeps better as he has fewer nightmares and is happier all round. We couldn't be more grateful, thank you Julie.

Highly recommended if you're worried about delays in your child's speech. They worked with kindness, patience and persistence. The speech therapists weren't at all patronising or judgemental. My daughter had her initial assessment here at 2 years 8 months with practically no words and a resistance to interact verbally. The staff at The Talking House were able to show me how to encourage my toddler to reach her potential. They were able to identify certain delays in development and sign post us to other services. My toddler is now nearing her third birthday and is using many more nouns and verbs, and is even putting short phrases together.

Paid for an assessment for my grandson following his grommet surgery and being unable to speak at the age of 3 and having been let down by the nhs; however not a lot came of it. No structured therapy offered and still no further forward in trying to source the help we need for my grandson
