My son (10) has been attending TLA for nearly 2 years and I can't believe his transformation. His confidence is so evident to see. He loves every second of being here. He has become part of this wonderful family and is so much happier! Tonicha and co are just so supportive of everything he attempts. Courtney is the best teacher ever!

My son spent 9 wonderful years at TLA which became an extension of the family. He loved all of the classes and the endless opportunities to perform, but also just feeling happy every Saturday amongst the amazing staff and children who were all so supportive & comfortable celebrating their individualities. As an added bonus, Tonicha successfully put him forward for some amazing professional opportunities (stage, radio, TV and film) which have now spurred him on to pursue a career as an adult in the creative arts. He will undoubtedly keep in touch. Thank you xxx

My daughter was painfully shy and lacking confidence when she joined TLA at the age of 6. Today, shes in her first year at university, Leeds Beckett, studying for an honours degree in dance. Tonicha and Jen, in fact the whole team at TLA, (past teachers included), have encouraged, nurtured and guided Safia through 12 years of first class drama, singing and dance tuition. She has been in shows and plays; showcases; and busking in Leeds city centre. They are truly a family business, with the welfare of the children at their core. I cannot recommend this school enough.

My son started at TLA when he was 6, and immediately felt it was a second family. He has been so welcomed there over the last 5 years, and the team have challenged and stretched him every week to be the best he can be. Performing arts is such powerful stuff when done well - building confidence, unpacking ideas and emotions and processing them as a team. The greatest compliment I can pay to the team under Tonicha's fabulous leadership is the way they truly create a 'safe space' for the kids to explore and experiment with so many different concepts and ideas. It is easy to take this for granted until you see the difference it makes if it is absent elsewhere. Whether your child wants to make new friends and fire their imagination or progress their dreams as a performer TLA can and does deliver, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

As a former Performing Arts Lecturer and ongoing Lamda tutor. I have worked in a variety of places, and I have to say, TLA is a great place to be! It is professionally managed and the admin staff are efficient and highly organised. The teaching staff are very experienced, passionate and caring, providing the students with a fun packed as well as educational experience. There is a family atmosphere and the students needs are at the very heart of everything TLA does. Health & Safety is strictly adhered to and both the staff and students feel very safe. As a parent myself I would highly recommend TLA to any parent out there wishing to nurture and develop their childs talents in acting, singing, dancing, confidence, communication and social skills! TLA is bursting with TLC! Come along and see. It really is a great place to be.
