The place per se may not be bad, and our dog was there a couple of times and was ok, coming back home a bit dirty if anything. But the last experience we had was completely bad and I need to bring it to everyone's attention. We booked over Easter, but ended up not travelling, so we decided to keep our dog at home for part of the booked period. We made it abundantly clear that of course we would pay for the whole originally booked stay, including the days our dog would be at home. This was accepted - in the end, they were getting money and did not have to look after our dog. Then, this morning, we called to see if we could bring in our dog: we had booked, so we just wanted to drop her off for part of the booking. Surprisingly, the staff became rude and emotional, claimed we had "messed them about" (I object: we had given them money in return for no service), and they would cancel our bookings: all of them, even the ones made in the future, which e.g. we had made, well in advance, for this summer. We had paid a deposit, which had been sitting on their account, but our bookings got cancelled. We tried to reason, explaining that our Easter booking had anyway been paid and never had we questioned that we would not want to pay, but the staff was so uncooperative, and emotional, that I cannot be sure whether what we said was understood. Basically, now we are back to square one, with all booking cancelled. The farm did say that we would receive our money back - the one for the future bookings which had been cancelled - but I am not sure, of course, whether they will honour this on account of their lack of reliability and professionalism. For sure, as of now, they have taken the money, and quite a lot, and are not prepared to offer to us what we paid for. It is a pity that I have to write this, but they are dangerously unreliable, and of course this matters when one has booked a holiday in advance. I recommend that they should be avoided.
