Lovely old castle located above Church Ope Cove. The castle is best viewed from the coast path heading south towards Portland Bill. The path is rough to the south of the castle leading from church Hope and joining Southwell Road at the car park near Cheyne Wears. While area is popular with walkers and climbers.

Beyond beautiful. So much history in one spot - it's a really lovely walk! The pirate graveyard is especially fascinating however all of the trees have recently been chopped so it's lost a little bit of it's spooky charm. The castle is amazing - I wish we had had longer to look around! The beach itself is lovely too. Definitely prepare yourself for the walk back up though - so many steps and so little knee power! Either way, you should definitely find the time to visit!

Lovely castle ruins overlooking Ope Cove. Great walks around the area. Lots of steps and tricky paths so wear walking boots. Beautiful place.
