The Eight Kings

Stopped off for a pint and some food on a break from our coastal walk. Was told only basket menu....pleasantly surprised, husband had fish and chips , I had scampi and chips , a decent portion served in a basket. Great idea and really fair price. Very happy

This lovely little pub on the side of a roundabout could be easily passed by but it really is worth stopping in for a visit. It was our first time visiting the pub and from the moment we entered we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially Jamie and Zak . The carvery was absolutely amazing. The meat melted in my mouth and the roast potatoes were the best I've ever had. Put that together with a warm but relaxed atmosphere and this little gem of a pub on Portland will definitely be on my list to revisit.

Popped in for lunch with the dog and the other half, fantastic service with quick turnaround for food. Highly recommend the Cheese Jacket and Cheese and Onion sandwich. Dog friendly, cheap drinks/ food. Would come again.
