Admiralty Hotel & Restaurant

Due to an unfortunate mishap w the airline my family and I had to book a last sec room. What a delightful surprise. You cld tell they had just completed renovations. The room was nice and clean and the staff was so helpful we decided on dinner too. Luckily we met the owner Martin while we were dining. He was a true gentlemen and addressed every request we asked for. Thanks for everything and look forward to coming back.

We stayed here on 4th March and the hotel was without electricity! To cut a long story short, the hotel dealt with it badly, promised a refund, but 3 weeks later, I'm still waiting. I called earlier this week to speak to the 'new management' , who haven't called me back. Just dreadful. After reading previous reviews, we found that the lack of power had happened before. I would not have written a bad review had they actually issued a refund, but they haven't. I'm still chasing.

We had a wonderful stay. Great location with beautiful views. Restaurant food is fantastic. Exceptional staff very friendly & helpful.The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend staying here. Nearby activities: Plenty to see & do in Portland

Review for carvery only. Great food very accommodating chef so friendly and offers to do something special for vegans if they ask ahead when booking. But in all honest there was so much veg I was perfectly happy my meat eating boss was happy with three joints of perfectly cooked animal to choose from ;-) only let down was being left for 30 minutes and giving up on desert (I don't think the waitress liked us! Lol) which was a real shame as the aforementioned chef had talked a big game and the deserts going out looked great! Location is fantastic and I can't mark it down badly for the lack of service as the food was terrific and I know only to well how hard it is to find enough staff in the hospitality sector...well done admiralty carvery. We may return again when my boss has forgiven you for the lack of pudding!
