        We werent sure what to expect from 5 star self catering but were certainly were not disappointed! Beautiful accommodation; traditional yet modern, well equipped and set in delightful, well-tended grounds. Nicky (and George) were attentive but never intrusive hosts and made us fee very welcome. They have plenty of local knowledge to do ensure you have access to everything you need whether youre looking escape or go on adventures (and this is a great base from which to explore both sides of the border with walks, historic sites and beautiful towns and villages). Covid precautions were also well managed at this challenging time. We felt very safe and cared for.The dogs are an added bonus! When we left a set of car keys at the property, Nicky went above and beyond to ensure we were reunited with them. Would happily return and certainly recommend.
