Rock Salt at South Sands Hotel

We have just came home from 3 nights at the South sands hotel it was a wonderful experience the food was amazing in the restraunt, evening meals top quality and the room was perfect for our needs and spotless. I am gluten free most of the menu including delicious breakfast I could have. thank you to all hotel and restraunt staff kind friendly couldn't do enough and can't wait to visit again Megan Chesterfield.

Very nice setting and location, serving traditional pub / gastro pub style food It was perfect for our mixed aged and generation group party Great location for a walk before or afterwards along the sand bank

Given 2 stars for the waiter and the food we did enjoy. The ham hock starter was tiny. The pork belly had a very hairy piece of pork scratching on it. My burger was dripping in fluid (not sure if it was from washed lettuce or undrained gerkins) and the cheesy mash side order is soo small for it's cost and taste! The burger meat was good quality and my partner enjoyed his pork belly main meal. I asked to speak to someone about our experience, we waited 15-20 mins before our mash was refunded by the waiter who had asked someone to speak to us but was left to awkwardly deal with us on our own. We begrudgingly paid over 80 for the experience and won't be returning or recommending to others, which is a shame.

A great place to finish or start your beach walk along Sand Bay. Wonderful breakfast and friendly helpful staff.
