This large multi use building is fairly central and has long opening hours. There is an excellent reference library, a mass of books and a lot of internet machines, although the latter are normally in use by the many unemployable folk who congregate in the building to play computer games, check Facebook or attempt to fill in a job application. There are security guards on the door which should tell you that they needed. The building has many floors and other uses and the library has the ground floor. A lot of life's undesirables spend their free hours here, often making private study in quiet surroundings impossible. Use the Campus library three miles out of town if you want peace.

Small library with computers available for use. Wheelchair friendly entrance and toilets. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the use of self service kiosks make borrowing and returning books quick and painless.
