Very happy to update my review from two years ago. Everyone is doing well at Annabelle, the staff as ever have been very sensible protecting their residents, anticipating the danger of covid and taking precautions and imposing their own "lockdown" three weeks before the government took measures and have kept all the residents and staff safe. I would like to say thank you. Located in good residential area on the hill with plenty of on-street parking in addition to the front drive parking. Lovely Victorian house with modern extensions. Intelligent receptive staff, very welcoming, eager to ensure residents' wellbeing and individuality. Dedicated activities staff as well as a stable core staff of carers. Families welcome to stay in the comfortable lounge areas with their relatives. Visitors are offered tea and coffee and are free to use the tea/coffee facilities themselves at any time. It is located a few minutes drive from beaches and parks. Weston has a good shopping centre and numerous restaurants, cafes and possibly the best fish and chips are to be found in the Boulevard. Annabel House has a lovely warm homely atmosphere. I once asked a sprightly lady resident how old she was and was dubious when she replied about 60, I rephrased my question and asked her which year she was born in and she immediately replied 1925 and I told her that she was in her early nineties and she laughingly smiled and said 'I didn't know I was that old!" A happy lady who always makes me smile.
