I had the privilege of holding my 60th Birthday on a simulated day just over week ago at Six Mile Bottom shoot. We have been about this shooting lark for quite a few years, so we kind of had in mind what we thought the day would be like. We weren't a million miles away, but the day exceeded all our expectations by a country mile. The whole day had a feel about it of a "real" day with the exception of feathered friends. From the early communications I had with Jackie, to the "what three words" dropping us right at the entrance to the lodge everything went perfectly. And what a magnificent lodge. I could happily live in that. Lovely breakfast of crisp rolls and bacon with lashings of tea and coffee Spectacular drives - with more birds than you could ever hope to catch up with. Duncan was great company with some funny anecdotes - he is a credit to the enterprise. Roasting hot barrels, laughter and much banter down the line, an absolutely perfect birthday. Finished with a great lunch to end the day.
