Booked some time ago on Hotels.com to stay over this weekend. Hotels.com guaranteed the booking but no reply from property when I asked about payment. Phone calls were not answered until last night when I found out they are not accommodating guests at the moment due to recent ill health! Hotels.com had no idea and weren't interested in doing anything about it - still advertised on their page! I had to sort out alternative accommodation rapidly (more expensive!)
