Do not want to help people and will avoid doing so at any cost. As soon as there is a queue the male behind the counter will put his sign in his window and Swan off for a break. The woman seems quite rude. I've seen elderly people go in and if they are hard of hearing she seems to get very frustrated with them. This is not a big post office and never seems to be all that busy but these people just can't seem to be bothered. Perhaps they should go on a customer service course, learn some manners or maybe try a different job. Chapel lane or chorley new road post offices are friendly, polite and are happy to help.

Needed a new passport before the stated 10 weeks waiting time. Called in to pick up the forms and told staff I was worried I wouldn't get it back in time. They told me not to worry, they would do it all for me and I would get it back in a couple of weeks. They did the photo and completed the forms for me in around 5 minutes. As promised my passport arrived 2 weeks later. Fantastic service

I only reluctantly use this branch as I have experienced and witnessed very poor customer service here before. Today I was served in a very abrupt and dismissive manner. I could relate all the details but suffice to say that the person who served me should be aware that her rudeness, whilst possibly giving her some twisted pleasure, has made me resolve never to use this branch again. I will travel farther to the Hindley Road branch where I am always served with consideration and politeness.

Small but well stocked shop with the usual stationery. Couple of desks so not too long to wait. On the high street so no direct parking but there is parking close by.
