Complete lack of transparency and honesty: Shocking experience Requested the service for a leaking shower pipe(unfortunately a monumental mistake without checking the reviews- of just one star left by others). On a postive note the plumber came on time. Said the thermostatic bar valve is the problem and said he can buy one now from a shop nearby and replace it to which i agreed . Came back and replaced the bar valve. For insurance purposes i requested the cost of the valve and he mentioned it was 107 pounds. just by chance i happened to check the cost of the same online and from a near by shop and found out it was less than 60 pounds... and was totally shocked when i confronted him he initially said it was 107 and then all of a sudden changed saying that he added a 'mark up ' price for the same. neither the chap or the company declined to say what percentage was the markup price and he was extremely rude in saying he does not have to tell me what the price is and he can keep the park up price anywhere between 5 to 50 percent as he wishes... the total cost of just changing a valve was show as 318 pounds( stayed early 5 mins extra for the second hour and charged 80 pounds for the whole hour( no honesty what so ever) . No wonder he rushed to take the original box to his van and hesitated to show the box for the price when i questioned. If you are in the right mind PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It felt like day time robbery. p.s - i am adding the picture of the bar he said was 107 pounds -- i leave it for you to check and decide.
