Art On Tiles

My wife and I were doing a kitchen remodel. We purchased the Hunt Scene tiles for use on the wall behind our cook top. The purchase was easy. Delivery was within the time frame specified. The colors and image are perfect and transition well from one tile to another. Jonathan provided excellent advice on the suitability of these tiles for the intended location, use and installation. We did not grout between tiles nor did we use a sealer. We have found sealers tend to get tacky and accumulate dirt. We did grout between the tiles at the edge of the panel and the adjacent 3" x 6" blue "subway" tiles. We posted a photo to the Gallery but did not know how to attach one to this review. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have this tile mural from Art on Tiles/Jonathan Waights. When I contacted Jonathan to recreate this mural for my kitchen backsplash, he was so easy to work with. And, I asked him to personalize it for me by inserting the initials of my 5 grandchildren in each of the birds. He happily did this, and made it fun, as they are kind of hidden and kind of not!! Perfect. The mural was shipped from England to California with out any hitches, all was perfect and though I can't remember the exact timing, I was so impressed that it took maybe 5 weeks to make. I love, love, love this mural. Everyday, I see it and it makes me smile.

I bought 20 handmade tiles in the 'Delft' style from Art on Tiles. Very impressed and it was great to play my small part in keeping this craft viable in 21st century Britain.

Art on tiles copied some Dutch tiles from the 1640s for me - absolutely brilliantly done and highly recommended.

We were after a tile mural to go behind our BBQ. Jonathan at Art on tiles proved to be our perfect solution from the initial design, through tweaking to ensure we got exactly what we wanted through to the finished tile mural, the whole operation was seamless. Thank you Jonathan we are delighted.
