Having bought a van without a V5, I have contacted James multiple times to try and tax the van, there has been no urgency to resolve this and there has been a lack of communication and I have been given false promises.

Why is it when you go to a main dealer and it's obvious you don't have a nice shiny new van your made to feel like you've just come in on the bottom of someones shoe

A wholly unreliable, disruptive and untrustworthy company. Don't risk taking your vehicle to Rygor Commercials if you rely on it to run your business (in my experience). A 2 year-old vehicle (under warranty) with less than 14,000 miles shouldn't take 14+ days to service and return to the customer - they seem to have a staff shortage - but that's not my concern - my concern is they are costing me money by holding on to my vehicle that they have not finished working on. Having already had to wait over a week for an appointment I took my vehicle to them on the 19th July 2022. A few days later I'm told it needed new discs. I agreed to the work and told them I must have it before the end of the month - without question - they agreed to this and said it would be ready yesterday. I heard nothing. This morning (NINE days later - 28th July) I called to be told the vehicle was actually in the workshop and would be ready "today". 5pm came and no call from them so I called to find out I couldn't have it until Monday 1st August after some parts had been sourced from Germany and fitted. It is now evident the requirement for this part was not exposed during the service/inspection last week so I am wondering if they actually did an inspection - one can only deduce from the papertrail (I will seek) that their inspections are both incomplete and potentially a safety risk if not up to the standard of Mercedes. I desperately need the vehicle and they have no loan vehicle. So they've been told I will be collecting it tomorrow in the condition I took it to them in on 19 July. Will see what happens.
