West Wittering Beach

Such a nice sunny day after being stuck indoors all week with a bad back, I decided to try a little walk along west Wittering beach for an hour and a light lunch. Unable to book in advance so tried to pay on arrival. The new system relies on people having a mobile phone with QR code facility which I tried several times but it wouldn't work. Asked in the cafe for assistance & they pointed to machine outside which I tried to use but it asked if we had ended our parking, no I hadn't I wanted to go for a walk along the beach so it advertised parking could be paid for up to 48 hours after leaving Got home tried to pay online, system advised 1 hour 42 minutes parking would cost 9.30,! But kept saying error after payment details entered. Husband tried to pay on his laptop same error message appeared. So now we'll have to wait until tomorrow to try & call someone hoping to pay over the phone- needless to say we will stick to visiting east head by sea in future, less hassle!!

The staff are friendly and helpful, and there's a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to West Wittering Beach. It's a stunning location with plenty to see and do, and it's a great place to spend a day with friends and family. Whether you're looking for an action-packed adventure or a peaceful day by the sea, West Wittering Beach has something for everyone
