        Worst temporary toilets ever. Toilets being refurbished so temporary toilets in place. Awful! Avoid. No toilet rolls in any of the ladies toilets and no bins. Some toilets not flushing properly. No indicators on doors to say whether engaged or not. No customer service point to let anyone know. Building itself filthy on the outside. Depressing place.

        I am embarrassed to even give this one star! , but unable to leave a review without. This place is disgusting! Ashamed it is part of English road network! If you have to stop, only go to the filling station.

        My partner and I had the decidedly poor fortune to find ourselves at the South Ockenden services twice in 2 days!! Going into any motorway service area is never a wonderful experience, but this place takes it down several thousand notches! The lift smelt like it was the toilet, the toilets in the car park were disgusting and looked like they don't get cleaned very often.

        Services awful today. Smelly, probably due to loos being out of action ('being refurbished' - why, just at the start of the busy season?) And M&S counter staff handing out unwrapped wooden cutlery before and after fiddling with the inside of his nose - yuk!
