Thornton Road Surgery

Everything about the GP is great but your receptionist are rude and unemphatic. I got surgeries mixed up and was trying to call to double check. When i got to the surgery she was very rude and condescending.

I am overall satisfied with the service of the GP Practice, except for the reception. We are living in post pandemic world ... cost of living crisis and the last we want to see is receptionist that keeps rolling her eyes when dealing with clients who are seeking for help. Here is my recent experience ... I had an appointment 08:40 am, came 15 mins earlier as required, did online check in and approached the receptionist to enquiry is there anything else need to be done. The lady at the reception mentioned that my appointment is in red in her system, but she does not know what does it mean. She asked one of the colleagues that was passing by, and to our surprise red stays for cancelled appointments. Instead of apologizing and offering me another slot, the lady started calling other clients to inform them about the cancellation. To my further disappointment she started to argue that it's not her fault that my appointment is cancelled. I had to leave the practice since it was impossible to continue the dialogue with the lady and re-book the appointment over the phone. It was very obvious that the lady at reception had zero empathy towards customers' issues by being rude to patients and this undermines the efforts of the whole team in Thornton Road.
