We used to go often before the pandemic and we heard it had gone downhill since, but we gave it a go last weekend. The room still looks lovely, the staff was very friendly, but the food was just awful... we both went for the BBQ sauce burger. The burger was dry, the bread was dry (despite having sauce on it), the BBQ sauce either wasn't there or was tasteless. I kept seeing burger being left under the heating light for ages, so I guess that's why ours were so dry. The restaurant wasn't busy, so there's no excuse to leave them there for so long. Our kids had the kids' menu: 1 dry burger, 1 mac n cheese that was left after 1 bite (it was cold too) and 1 happy spag bolognese. We had unlimited drinks, but had to remind the waitress to bring a refill (we asked for 2, but she came back with 1). It is a real shame. If they sort out the kitchen, they have everything else to make it work!

Amazing breakfast this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Our server Andy was extremley polite.Also the buffet was amazing too,extremley well stocked up in everything.Better stock than last time.The juices were at a nice level this time they have apple,orange and cranberry And water as well.Also the dried fruits,berrys and oranges were also very well stocked up as well.Also the cereal,pan au chocola and pancakes were well stocked up as well same as the spreads for youre toast.Also the food was amazing too,was delicious.Also what really sticks with me is the amazing value as well,in Costa you could have maybe 2 apple juices and a coffee for about 10 pounds.However here you could have everything here for 10 pounds,i had 2 servings of berrys,banana,apple,bacon,mushrooms,2 slices of toast and 2 glasses of apple juice.That is just cracking good value,you would never get that anywhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!And kids get it for free so all of that is free for the kiddywinks.Also everything was clean as well.I sat at the opposite side to where I usually do in the beefeater which was lovely as I have wanted to sit there for years when Ive visited here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Also the chef was amazing too,polite and a good cook.
