I started my career in care working for Home Instead, after being made redundant from my customer services role I wanted to look into care as i'd always wanted to do it. Home instead where the only company at the time taking on inexperienced carers and willing to train new staff up. I was at Home instead for a short while and I was offered the opportunity to gain qualifications. The training itself is very thorough, now working within social services I can see how well Home instead is run, I always use Home instead as bench mark, it baffles me when carers I deal with from different organisations are late for calls or they miss calls completely, I know from the carers I worked with at Home Instead it would be rare that call times where not adhered to. One of the best things I ever done there was palliative care. It is a honor to do palliative care for anyone and to be there for a person in their last hours or days. The staff in the office always made sure I had plenty of work, the owners at the time Ginette & Mike and the manager Marie where great to work for. I didn't work with the new owners much but they are doing great with the business and making it a well known name in Ruislip. i'd hand on heart recommend anyone who is looking to get into care for the first time to do it with Home Instead, it opens the door for so many opportunities within Health & Social care. If you want a career in this industry start here.

Home Instead Ruislip and Harrow are a great care company. They have really look after my Father very well. He is very happy with his care and loves the camaraderie with the team that comes to visit him. Highly recommended.
