11 Plus Wirral

We have been absolutely delighted with 11 Plus Wirral throughout the whole year that we have been with them. My son and I both instantly felt we had found an absolute gem in Gill, his tutor. She took the trouble to understand him and how he worked and what motivated him, and struck up a rapport with him very quickly. He came home after just a few sessions saying he much preferred it to learning in school!Gill was constantly vigilant in pinpointing the areas he most needed to concentrate on, but more importantly she took plenty of time to talk with us about his progress and attitude, and what we could do to support him between sessions. When the council changed exam boards we wereimpressed at how quickly their teaching adapted to the shifting goalposts, but then when lockdown hit we were further amazed at how the whole team moved almost overnight to change the delivery of your service to online. We thought they all did a fantastic job in very difficult circumstances. My son felt relaxed going in on the day of the exam, knowing he was well prepared, which was exactly what we had been hoping for. When it came to the last session with Gill we were genuinely sad to say goodbye, but hopefully she'll be available to take on our daughter when the time comes. We cannot recommend her and the team too highly.

I really cannot say enough good things about 11plus Wirral. I have experienced an extremely professional business but with a real kindness and care for the child and parent in every lesson. I have experienced other tutoring companies before coming to 11plus Wirral and these others really don't measure up in comparison! My daughter's tutor, Emily, has gone above and beyond to help us. She spent her own time talking to us to understand my daughter. She has provided homework and personalised resources we need for our child to learn, and basically surpassed my expectations, as did the manager/owner, Wendy, who was so helpful and accommodating. So far, I have really seen my daughter really grow in confidence and she loves her lessons. Also, their pricing is fair and not extortionate, and I was so happy to be charged 20 for one to one tutoring, (seeing as some other companies charge 20 for group tutoring -in a large group-and 35 for one to one!). You really can't go wrong with 11plus Wirral, in my opinion.
