Just rode my bike 6 miles back after a service and having the crank shaft replaced, cycles like a dream. Roy was very amenable and charged a reasonable price, especially compared to the jokers at Halfords who quoted an insane price of 195 for labour only after a cursory 3 minute inspection.

I came off my bike and damaged my derailleur quite badly (and my shoulder)last Saturday. Luckily I was a 10 minute walk from RoyDavies cycles. I left the bike with him and had a breakfast with my riding buddies . On returning to the shop my bike had been fixed and the mechanic refused to take any money off me. The bike rode as good as new for the rest of the day. I can't say how grateful I am for the help Roy Davies cycles gave me last week and would recommend this shop to anyone on the wirral. 5 Cheers

Limped in whilst on a ride with a snapped chain and fixed it right away at a very reasonable price. Very nice people and highly recommend

I paid 400 for bike handlebars, new tyres, gears, free wheel hub and bike re build. When I picked bike up the gears and brakes where not adjusted correctly. The gear cable was fitted incorrectly and rubbing on the bike frame. No valve caps fitted. The new free wheel hub I asked for was not fitted he just re greased the old one which had a buckle and affected the gear change and back wheel. I complained and took the rear wheel with faulty hub back. He fitted a new one and charged me a further 30 for a job he was supposed to do in the first place. When I got home and re fitted the wheel I realised the quick release axle assembly was missing. He used to be a good bike tec but not any more. Poor quality workmanship and a rip off, I will never go back to this so called bike shop again, Ill go somewhere where they dont rip you off for terrible workmanship. If you care about your cycle dont go to Roy Davies Cycles. P S. the posted opening times are a joke he opens up when he can be bothered sometimes around 11 am.
