Sew Pretty - Sewing Classes & Courses

My daughter attended the kids sewing club today and she has not stopped talking about it since the second I picked her up. She had the best day, made three sewing projects and is absolutely thrilled with herself! I bought this as her birthday present and Im so glad I did! Thank you so much for helping me give her the best gift!

Amazing 4 weeks on the Sew Complete course. I progressed from not being able to navigate a sewing machine to being able to make a cushion cover, skirt, and I have even begun making clothing for my dog to keep her warm. I also met some lovely ladies and it became a lovely Wednesday evening activity which I'll miss! Thank you Sophie and Katya for your guidance and I'll be getting some classes in the diary to continue progressing my sewing skills!

Had an hour online one-to-one class. Although it was a short amount of time, the class was super useful! Katya was prepared and could guide me around my machine and accessories even from afar. She shared a lot of advice and approaches. A great one off gift for a sewing beginner and I'd definitely be interested in further classes.

Pros: Very cute place, good location, nice project, knowledgeable teacher (dont recall her name (it wasnt katya but one of her other teachers)), fun projects. I do recommend. Cons: Teacher didnt schedule enough time for anyone to finish the project. She pressured me into a bigger size (its too big & unwearable) and to make shorts (which I dont wear & dont like) so I wasted the pricey fabric and there wasnt enough left to make the pj pants I wanted. I sensed it would have not been received well if I had challenged her opinion. So it ended up being a waste of money. Conclusion: Overall I do recommend as my experience had good points because I did get a decent refresher course. My advice is to go for it, its fun, but trust your intuition on your size and what you want to make & not be pressured into something that you know isnt right (again, it wasnt Katya).
