Toby Carvery Hinton

Here for a family meal. Sadly, one of our party, who ate the turkey, was ill afterwards. I had gammon & and beef, which was full of gristle and fat. The gammon was too salty. For years, this was by far and away the best Toby around, but now it appears to have lost its edge. I will not be in a hurry to return. Staff were lovely and accommodating though. It's not their fault the company is cutting corners on the meat quality. A sad sign of the times. Worse ingredients and rising prices mean it's less and less appealing to dine out.

We used the Over,'60s voucher and thought this was very good value. We are already planning to go again before the end of May. If this offer were repeated, we would lunch here more often as we love a carvery! All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, despite it being very busy, and the portions of meat were good.
