This station was opened in 1913. The station is on the Uxbridge branch of the Metropolitan line, between Rayners Lane and Harrow-on-the-Hill stations, and in Travelcard Zone 5. It is the only station on the Uxbridge branch to be served exclusively by the Metropolitan.

Its a normal average station on the met line in a quiet residential street. There is no disabled access to the platforms. The ticket hall is very small with just 3 barriers to use. The station entrance is split into two so platform 1 staircase will only take you to platform 1 & platform 2 staircase will only take you to platform 2.
