Guru Tandoori Restaurant

Not good at all. I had take aways on a couple of occasions hoping it would get better but I was wrong. The lamb was though as old boots, all food was sooooo greasy that I had to drain it out - not nice at all, the papadums were all chewy not crisp and fresh. Overall, just not nice at all. And really pricey for what it was. Will not be ordering from there again. Maybe eating in is different and the quality of food is better. But take aways - no no no.

Our go-to restaurant to dine in and home delivery. Well it was until last Sunday's delivery. Papadams tasted gross, like they were cooked in old oil that should have been thrown away. My usual Veg Biriyani tasted cheap mix of spices. My friends meals were just as bad. Sadly will not risk ordering from them again.

Decided to try this place last minute this evening for a takeaway. Being such a fussy eater I was hesitant as I've previously had to send food back to other local restaurants due to the lack of quality. The staff were very attentive even though I wasn't there long and when I got home I was pleasantly suprised. I had a vindaloo which wasn't too spicy (so added extra chilli as I like it hot) but the flavour and meat texture was spot on for me. I'll give it 5 stars once I've tried other dishes.

Ordered a lamb with spinach curry. Every piece of lamb was tough as boots and full of gristle. Never ordering from this establishment again.
