Such a fantastic service!! Arrives next day and I accidentally purchased it and was actually outside their delivery area but they still went out of their way to deliver to me either way. The banchan was so fresh and tasty as well as the mandu which I cannot recommend enough. Only had one substitution which I got an email informing me of beforehand which was nice to know before I opened the bag and was surprised. Fantastic service and people handling it

I was initially very excited to find Superman, a service that could deliver Korean groceries around London. This would save me a trip to New Malden, and could help me find items I couldnt find at other local Asian markets. At first sight, their website is a bit difficult to navigate, and item photos are generic with vague descriptions. When I emailed to confirm descriptions and availability, they quickly responded and confirmed they had what I wanted. I felt confident that I was ordering the right item, so I decided to buy multiples and make use of the free delivery for large orders. Delivery was easy enough, communication went well with the driver and he cheerfully arrived on time with 2 large bags. I quickly opened the bags and noticed that the item I had ordered had been substituted with an item I did not want, and in large quantity because I had stocked up. There had been such good communication about availability and delivery that I was shocked they would substitute an item without asking or even notifying me. Thankfully I managed to call the driver back in time and he took the incorrect items back. Upon further digging in the bags, other items had been substituted, too. The biggest peeve about all the substitutions was that I was charged for the original item, then it was substituted with something cheaper. Hence my anger at not being notified or communicated with about substitutions. This is not acceptable business practice. I emailed Superman to request a refund for the returned items and to tell them of my frustrations with their substitutions. I never heard back from them! What a scam. If you do decide to order from here, check your bags in front of the driver, while hes there! And know that you might get unwanted, cheaper substitutions at a higher price. Better yet, dont order from here.

At least 30-40% more expensive than any other Korean grocery shops. They go to a supermarket and buy things upon each order, so overprice is the only way to make a profit. So it basically causes you to pay more on top of retail prices (not the wholesale prices). It looks like there are a lot of products if you see their website, but as they go and buy stuff upon receiving the order, theres always unavailable items which is frustrating.

Meal kit wasnt bad. However the delivery and CS experience is worst ever. They dont know how to say sorry even though they made a big mistake. They rather ignore it. It WAS convenient before but after I had too much stress because of this. I dont think I wanna spend my money for them no more. I would just go to Korean shop myself Felt like i wasted money. Im afraid that Im the first one who leaves a critical review but people also have a right to know things like this. Plus in the meal kit recipe, you used the word opaquely and native was confused due to the word when they tried to cook. so you need to fix this too.
