M&S Simply Food

Really badly laid out. I know it is a small branch located in Bond Street station but it is cramped and fine for a basic shop or given location, for snacks or lunch on the go. Put it this way, convenient! There are two bigger branches located with a ten minute walk. Go there if want a better choice.

The date of the visit was the 18th of January 2023. At 9.00 pm. The store is inside a shopping centre which is inside Bond st Tube station in London. I filed the complaint by phone next day. You can see the correspondence from me and from M and S at the bottom of this email after I waited for one month and heard nothing back. As you can see your colleagues finally looked into the matter after I chased them a month later but not to my satisfaction. They simply produced excuses. The store had no sign saying they dont accept cash after 9 pm. Not then, nor since. I put products in the basket but the store employee Abdul refused to accept cash which a legal tender in this country. I only had cash with me so I could not buy food and feed my family and myself that evening. The whole experience traumatised me enormously. The fact that M and S then did nothing with my complaint stressed me additionally

Staff with no social skills whatsoever. Scanned several more expensive items and got shouted at YOUVE NOT SCANNED THAT 3 times in a row because the 65p rice hadnt scanned. Caused unnecessary embarrassment. They need to train their staff on how to speak to other people because its just not acceptable. Eye contact, manners, vocal awareness? Really disappointing
