Matchstick Recruitment

From 2016-2018, I worked as a temp worker for Matchstick for 2 years and I can honestly say that this agency is one of the best recruitment agencies out there. Sarah, Kate and all of the staff at Matchstick really looked after me, and made me feel that I could always turn to them for advice and help with regards to work. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this agency, and I cannot recommend them enough.

This review is a few years late in posting so apologies in advance to new staff. I had the worst experience; the man who seemed to be the owner asked me to come in 'for an informal chat' on a day when I happened to be in the area shopping. Instead of being welcomed with a 'hello, very pleased to meet you'; the receptionist, not even asking my name said 'I need your passport please'. Shocked by the 'warm welcome', I raised this with the 'owner' who proceeded to tell me to leave if I wasn't prepared to present my passport. Traumatised by his rudeness I told them to remove me from their list and to never contact me again. Looking at the more recent reviews it seems the agency might have professionalised its image when prospecting or should I say 'cherry picking' candidates; but it put me off working with recruiters for life.

I could not fault anything at all! I had the best experience during my tempt role with Matchstick. Kate was an absolute angel! She helped me before, during and still in touch after. Since the moment I first talked to her, I felt looked after; everything was easy and profesional, specially during this time. They care about the candidates and they want them to success. I recommend them 100% ! Thank you!
