We bought our property 2 years ago. Weve been pushed to move in a month earlier - and when we got our keys - weve realised that our house wasnt nowhere near completed. We still had builders working on the same day as our key collection day. I will shortly describe my experience while purchasing with Hodsons: Pros: *Sales team was lovely - they sold a dream; * House design is great, if all done well - it would be great value for money; Cons: *Customer Care is just shocking. First ever reply weve received on our snaggs was 4 months later (24/7 support definitely wasnt there). There was a weekend when we had to spend it without hot water; it felt like we have to always beg to get the things done. Sending multiple emails with the same snaggs. Being called liars and every time trying to provide proof that we reported following snaggs. For example - there was a time when we had a really bad mould in our loft and the site manager called us liars, but refused to come and check it. You would never get an apology here! In september 2022 - weve been told that we wont get anymore customer care appointments as we used too many. Well - it means 2 year warranty is a lie from their side too - They were refusing to do some of the snaggs outstanding from the day one. For example - our bathrooms never had underneath sink unit (pic below), missing tiles on our driveway or broken tiles in the garden, no outside window mastics, our living room has a moving floor. *build quality is average - we have very low pressure in our showers. Its impossible to use 2 showers in the same time. mastic has been redone 4-5 times in one place as it comes off a couple of months later. Some of those were mouldy and had to be removed a couple of years after living here which is not a generic practice when living anywhere. Ground floor is crazy cold. We had someone fixing it but it wasnt fixed properly. We got draughts all over the house - wouldnt expect it with new builds. Worst thing is - dealing with company had an affect on our mental wellbeing. We felt really uncomfortable dealing with Hodsons. Great design houses, but quality is missing and customer care is horrible. Service: Home building

Purchased 2 properties in Westbury Mansions & Dorchester Mansions in Bracknell, Berkshire. Beautiful design but unfortunately let down by an ineffective roof design which allows rainwater to stagnate and eventually penetrate the building. After sales service is extremely poor, leave phone messages but no-one picks up and emails go unanswered. This has gone for 5 years with the warranty provider Premier Guarantee failing to enforce the developer to put right the structural defects. A complete nightmare that won't go away. So beware - ensure you have a FULL structural survey carried out if you are thinking of buying a Hodson home and do not rely on the 10 years warranty. Service: Garage design & building

Pros:
