Worst company ever. They destroyed my apartment and lost expensive stuff

I believe Barratt London has gone out of business. For over 3 months neither the generic email for East London nor specific people like Shane Wakefield and Jacqueline Everett, who are responsible for the Dalston Square development, are replying to any of my emails. I highly doubt that we actually have building insurance since apparently noone wants to use it for an occassion that should be covered by it. Easy task! Damage was caused to my property by a damage on the roof. This was fixed after 3 months after me reporting it, but the collateral damage resulting from this delay - my main living room windows are unreversibly stained (window cleaners and pure vinegar can't get it fixed) - has been ignored ever since. The glass needs replacement as a result. I don't even want to start on other issues regarding the cladding works...

Barratt have built a development in Waterlooville that has been nothing but poor quality. Unfinished roads and paths with curbs literally falling down and obstructions damaging vehicles. It has been this way for over 2 years and they have taken no action to rectify it whatsoever. I would neither recommend living in their developments or dealing with them as a business based on their interactions thus far.

Dreadful company. I was provided with a service charge estimate of 1800-2100 per annum in 2013 when I purchased. That first year it was close to 2800. It has sky rocketed ever since and is now double what I was originally quoted. I can accept 2-3% rises each year, but 10-15% annual rises are unacceptable. They refuse to respond adequately to complaints and queries. Rather, the choose to side-step and fail to accept any responsibility for providing misleading information during the sales pitch. Be careful, if you are purchasing a new property from this company.
