I went there again (it is my local shop) just to browse some coffee machines, with NO intend to buy. But then magic happened. I met Rhys, and the rest is history :-) What a fantastic salesman! So professional, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, with great sense of humor. I got brand new coffee machine and plenty of delicious coffees! Thank you Rhys, you made my day!

Watch out for subscription scam! I ordered about 60 of capsules at the counter to be told that I was entitled to a 15 discount on this order 'and the next 2 online'. The employee did not mention this rebate was a monthly automatic subscription that you have to agree and that they sign you up on their system without your knowledge. Only when I asked for more details about the promotion did the employee admit it was a subscription. I refused the discount and made it vey clear I did not want a subscription. As I left the store I received an email confirmation for a subscription for 1 sleeve a month, at 4.20. I suspect employees are incentivised to sell these subscriptions hence the misleading discount process and the small subscription without consent, probably hoping I wouldn't notice the 4.20 direct debit. I have reported this predatory practice to Wesminster Trading Standards.

Was at the Nespresso store on Regent's Street on 18/04/2023. One of the employees there, a young lady was incredibly rude to me and my girlfriend. My girlfriend was standing at the bar looking for a coffee to taste to decide on her subscription when all of a sudden a moody young lady rushed over in an aggressive manner telling my girlfriend to "get out of there", "you can't be there, get out". She then stormed off saying, "Jesus Christ!". We fully intended to buy a machine and subscribe to ongoing membership, which is why we wanted to taste and choose the correct pods. After this rude young lady ruined our experience, there is no chance of us becoming Nespresso customers. Read some of the other reviews and you'll see similar complaints about a rude young lady working there. Coincidence? I doubt it.

The store is a nice enough place, good bits of art and fully stocked - the coffee bar is also a great addition. What I dont like, is that judgement like feeling from staff from either asking a question or trying to choose coffee. Theres dozens of different flavours / variations available, however youre to stand in front of a staff member who ushers the immediacy of a decision, if not but a sigh of inconvenience of being asked about what theyd recommend. New users to the brand will feel the embarrassing glare of a service assistant, confused and irritated from a lack of familiarity with the products they offer. I mean at the end of the day its just coffee and its not that crucial of a decision - however the obvious inexperience of the Nespresso brand seemingly silently infuriates those who work there. In future Ill probably order selections off off of Amazon (or3rd party suppliers) and recycle used pods less frequently.
