A fun night out aimed at over 25s (music) - it seemed a mixture of music from 90s-10s. Staff were polite and kept the place clean, and lovely singers!. We were waiting a long time to get a drink so they probably couldve done with another bartender, which is why I've given one less star - especially difficult when people push in front of you and then still get served before you! They were doing really well despite having to also deal with a leak. On our night there seemed to be many people over 6ft with no spacial awareness despite there being a good enough amount of space between us (but still being a crowd) so nearly get elbowed in the face a few times but obviously that isnt something the bar staff can do anything about! The security were pretty chill but still doing their jobs well. Normal London prices for drinks and the cloakroom was free which was a nice surprise!

Incredibly rude door staff, Ive never experienced anything quite like it. Seems to be an ongoing issue judging looking at the rest of the review. They should not be allowed to treat people in the extremely poor manner that they do.

Good fun place no doubt and has been every time I have attended. Highly inconsistent door policy. I understand maintaining even balance and vibe in a place but the door staff seem to have little discretion and more to the point are about 20 years old so not enough life experience to judge a situation. We have moved beyond that in London. Archer St owners need to catch up as this policy is driven from the top. Similar to previous review I simply arrived 30 mins before my friends and refused entry as on my own. On returning later with friends one of girls was refused entry for having trainers (this is not the 1990s people do have smart trainers and dancing in heals is hard!) So we have headed to Kettners bar with far better drinks and currently getting our business.

My friend and I have been supporting archer street throughout the difficult Covid years, we have spent an awful lot of money and now at the weekends they only take reservations of 6 or more. Last 3 times we have approached the door we have been turned away as we have no reservation and cannot make a reservation. Frustrated is an understatement, we are local customers and cannot visit one of our favourite bars as no walk ins are accepted. Not good enough, allow bookings for 2 or more or allow walk ins. The fact that no space is reserved for walk ins when we tend to arrive between 5-6pm is absurd. How do we ever get in to archer street again?
