I booked a hog roast for my husbands surprise 60th party. Capital Catering ruined it. Hog for 40 people should have arrived at 12pm cooked and ready to eat for 4pm. The chef arrived at 12.45 hog arrived at 13.15 but it was a whole hog and not ready to be cooked. The chef and delivery driver cut off the head and inserted the rod outside my house in a van. Hog was not ready for 4pm, some guests left before being fed. The meat that was served many guests opted not to eat as they didnt feel it was cooked thoroughly. The chef left at 1900 leaving the hog still cooking (I paid 150 for the chef), he told us to turn it off at 19.30 and left us to carve the rest of the hog.it was not cooked. Fortunately I had the foresight to make 3 additional salads as Capital Catering did not supply the salads I paid for, along with cutlery that was part of their contract. I appreciate that on the day they refunded 390 of my 846 but this did not make up for ruining my husbands party, they promised to refund an additional 100 3 days later which I am still waiting for even though I have reminded them that they have not paid. I should have been refunded in full but all theyve offered is 30% off my next booking.as if that is ever going to happen. If Capital Catering had acknowledged that they had ruined a party and taken responsibility and refunded my money I would not be having to write this review but as they are not refunding the additional 100 I have no option but to write a bad review.
