BMW Park Lane Battersea have had my car since April 4th following a simple MOT inspection. I recieved a call to collect my car and attempted to do so on the April 6th. My car was driven to the forecourt and delivered to me for pick-up having passed 'inspection'.
However, unbeknownst to the mechanical team(???) the apparent inspection failed to identify that my driver side rear window was now and unusually down/open. The customer service rep tried to close it and said that he could hear the motor going but the window was not budging. Having had no problem with my windows I was naturally concerned especially as they had no business opening the window based on the work they were suppose to be doing.
Absent of apology or explaination for presenting my car to in a far worse condition they took the car back into the workshop. 10 mins later I was told my regulator may have failed (whilst 'coincidentally' in their care for 2 days and weeks after a rear window replacement they administered). Around 2 weeks later I was informed of a charge upwards of 1000 for the regulator to be replaced.
Following a detailed email sent from myself to both BMW and BMW Park Lane on April 13th I've recieved an auto response, a promise of an investigation and a quote of 1000+... I am still awaiting a response from management.
To add insult to injury:
Weeks prior, my car had been broken into. As always I had BMW PARK Lane Battersea replace the smashed passenger side rear window. Following a successful inspection (on this occasion) I was informed that the new window costing me 700+ was scratched. Appreciating the explaination and apology I accepted the offer of a replacement. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for this.
Early last week, I stopped by the garage to take something out of the car as I didn't anticipate being without it for such a long period of time. Now, bearing in mind that there was clearly no work being done on my vehicle, someone had been quite comfortable sitting it as the cup holder had been opened and a full cup of water just sitting in their. Again, this was how my car was brought to me from the workshop.
It is one thing after another without any real care, consideration or accountability and my patience has finally run thin. My approval has been given 3 times to fix the car because I need it from day-to-day but it is still not done. This experience has been extremely inconvenient and stressful.
The Customer Care team on the sales floor have been very helpful, consistent and apologetic but have definitely been let down by back office and mechanical members of the team who have displayed a lack of due diligence, failed processes and professional courtesy.
