The original Frith Street Gallery in Soho, London (now based in Golden Square) has a completely unique feel of serenity and possibility. I first saw Cornelia Parker here in the 90s, and have returned now for an intimate viewing, by invitation, of some of the pieces not shown in her recent Tate Britain retrospective. Spanning 20 years of her career, from 2002 to the most recent piece made for this exhibition in 2022, the work exudes the quiet competence with which the artist approaches diverse materials and invests then with new life and meaning.
