So I called Dem Barbers looking for an appointment today. I spoke to Bilzy and he informed me there were no openings today. He suggested making an appt for next day. After telling him I was leaving town tomorrow morning he asked me to call him back in 5 minutes because he was going to call his next appt and ask if he could come in early. If so, he would squeeze me in afterwards. When I called back Bilzy let me know he could get me in. Nice! Finding the place wasn't hard at all. Did I mention, it was my first time in the country (24hrs in) and Bilzy is going out of his way to hook me up. I could tell this dude was "good people"! Sorry to spend so much of this review on things not related to the actual haircut but as a person raised by a Beauty Salon owner I can't help but pay attention to the over-all experience. Having made quite a few cups of coffee for my Mom's customers myself. Hahaha... Bilzy and the rest of the Barbers make you feel right at home when you're in their shop. So as far as the cut goes...Bilzy asked questions throughtout the cut to make sure I got the look I wanted. He also held good general conversation throughout. I got a temp fade with a shape up. Bilzy even used the twist sponge on my hair at the end since thats how i wear it. I may not have a lot of hair but what I do have, I like to style. An excellent hair-cut with great conversation is the best relaxation therapy you can get. My man Bilzy is a professional. When I'm back in the country (area) Dem Barbers will be my go-to Barbershop.
