Absolutely loved our recent stay (12th - 16th Jan 22) in the Lakeside Lodge. Pollyanna was very welcoming and sent us loads of information prior to arrival with local shops, restaurants, takeaways and tourist spots. Unfortunately at this time of year a lot of shops and restaurants are closed but we still managed to find some great spots. Hot tub is fantastic and easy to use and heat (wood fired). Plenty of wood and kindling supplied and instructions on arrival from Pollyanna on use and cleaning etc and the fire pit. Lodge itself is great with panoramic views of the lake and countryside that you can enjoy from the hot tub. Horses, dogs and friendly cat on the farm, just bring your wellies as the paths can be a little muddy. Loads of fridge/freezer space and large tesco only 10 minute drive away to stock up on supplies. Kitchen has all required appliances and utensils. Beds very comfortable, lodge very clean and tidy on arrival. We didn't see or hear the people staying in the other lodges during our stay - whole area is peaceful and quiet. Would love to stay again, thank you for having us!
