The Linhay is by far the most relaxing and beautiful staycation I've ever been to in the UK. Caroline goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need to be completely off grid and has thought of everything. If you love fires, you have the open fire outside and the log burner inside (the logs are unlimited which is extremely generous)...as well as a coal bbq. The walks around the area are lovely and the local pub is a 1.3 mile walk away. I've booked the Linhay twice now and safe to say I'll be back again. It really is a hidden gem

We had the most fabulous time at the linhay! We visited in late November, and its just so cosy, the log burner warms the whole space up so well, and it even stays a nice temperature throughout the night. Its in the most secluded, peaceful spot for bird and nature watching, near lots of nice pubs and of course beaches for winter walks and surfing if you enjoy that. Caroline really has thought of everything in the linhay, from providing shampoo, body wash and extra blankets, to a hanging rail perfect for drying clothes from wet winter walks (of which we had a few). Highly recommend a visit - we would not hesitate to return!

Had a really lovely time staying at the Linhay with my wife for 2 nights. It's so comfortable and welcoming we had to force ourselves to go out for walks, I would quite happily have sat by the fire reading and snoozing for our entire stay. It's lovely to find a cabin of this type which genuinely feels detached from everywhere rather than being one of four or five cabins in a field. The history and age of the building gives it a unique character and it is furnished with just the right level of creature comforts to be welcoming but also feel isolated and 'off grid'. The short walk from the car adds to the sense of solitude. Something I didn't expect was the silence, It is rare to be in a building without the hum of a fridge or hiss of a boiler, it is surprising how much this adds to the feeling of restfulness. The owners are very welcoming and attentive without being in any way intrusive and obviously care a great deal about the visitor experience. I will definitely be back.
