This is an award winning site and deservedly so. Excellent guided tour by passionate local volunteers. And home made cakes are delicious.

West Coker, Yeovil, South Somerset. Fascinating restored piece of industrial heritage, reflecting the history of twine and sail making in the area. 'Explore the only surviving rural twineworks with its original machinery in England. The site, which has origins dating back over 600 years, includes machinery and fittings and represents all stages of the manufacture and finishing of twine.' Limited opening as staffing dependent on volunteers, who have saved the site. Check their www or FB. It's open at no charge, but do donate generously. Very nice small visitor centre, cafe and loos.
