My mother was here, dreadful place, read about it on Surrey live.definitely not the glossy place it portrays, only filth, missed infections, bad food, no consistency in staff. My mother was verbally abused by people looking after her, the whole place is a shambles

This care home looks wonderful like a hotel, but sadly it is not all it seems. Whilst my father was here he was not treated with the respect and dignity he deserved, my mother was told she should not visit him everyday, and he suffered unnecessarily. I removed him as soon as I could. It does not really matter what a care home looks like if the care is lacking.

My mother spent three weeks at West Hall recently - she was warmly welcomed and when it was time to leave, as many staff as were available came to say goodbye. I can honestly say that the cleanliness of the room and the floor she was on was fantastic. The staff were universally kind and responsive. There were a few teething troubles as you might expect given the complexity of each resident's needs and preferences but these were dealt with promptly. The food looked great and the menu was varied - my mother commented several times on how good the food was (something she never does at home!). My only slight niggle is with the laundry in that some of her white clothing came back with some interesting blue detail. I would certainly be comfortable with my mother staying there again.

Putting my Mother into a Care Home was something she was always dead set against, but due to her worsening Dementia we were forced to make this momentous decision in March 2020, during a pandemic of all times!! From the outset we were met with compassion, professionalism and care, all the staff that we have dealt with in the ensuing months have all exhibited these qualities and I am relieved to say my Mother took to the home from Day 1. The staff are all lovely, the constant activities planned are wonderful and engaging and everything is thought of, the home is always clean as is my Mother's room, the bathroom is always spotless. West Hall have given my Mother a new lease of life at what is a very difficult time and to deliver all of this during Covid-19 is testament to the hard work and dedication of all their staff. I cannot recommend West Hall part of the Anchor Care Home Group enough.
