All the staff in the A&E department are all so miserable. None of them have a caring bone in there body, after waiting almost 5 hours for someone to see my 5 year old. Was about to leave and take my daughter to a different hospital and all they were bothered about was taking me down the safe guard route where a social worker knocks my door just because there staff couldn't be bothered . Sandwell hospital no care at all

Father in law currently on a ward after having two suspected strokes on 23/4. They did a ct scan and apparently found nothing, so apparently it's a mystery (their words) He has parkinsonism and is very disoriented and has high blood pressure. No attempt has been made to investigate further,he's been in over 24 yours with still no answers. With family who work in the medical field I know a mri is the logical next step but they seem either unable or unwilling to do this. This seems like they don't give a toss be sure he's an elderly man who doesn't matter int heir eyes. Disgusting and disgraceful behaviour by people who should know better.

My dad had kidney infection and was weak and disoriented The nurses ignored him, mocked him and made fun. The doctor said he may have fluid on hes lungs and they were supposed to do an X-ray to check, that never happened, they also said he could have liver Damage and were supposed to do a ultrasound that also never happened He has diabetes and was too weak and sick to eat anything, we told them to keep a check on hes sugars, they didnt bother, by time my mother went in for visit time he was having a hypo with low sugar and my mother complained and asked for help then they reluctantly helped All they do is sit on their phones, talk about fellow colleagues and gossip and mock patients I heard them laughing about a patient that had soiled himself These people shouldnt be in these jobs, zero empathy and compassion yet they go on strike and moan about pay

I have to say that just aswell this hospital will be demolished because during my recent stay, I noticed a severe poor standard of cleanliness on the floors, doors, walls, windows and window sills, skirting boards, wash basins, taps, bedside cabinets, bedside rails and patients call buttons, bathroom and toilets!! Some toilets dont even have a window in the room hence the constant unbearable stench wafting from the room and wavering into the corridors of the wards!! I didnt smell any bleach being used at all at any given time!! Most bedside curtains were not even hung up properly and very dusty. The wrong type of curtains are hung up on certain windows. I noticed that the bins were very dirty/smelly despite the plastic bags in them being changed daily!! The bedside rails were also very dirty. Even the ceilings of the wards are very dirty!! I dont believe that under all hospital beds get cleaned properly. I feel that all patients side rooms should have at least one picture on the wall as this would help aid recovery of a patient and greatly help patients who are prone to depression!! I also noticed that patients meals were always served to patients with no covering.!! All patients meals should be served with the appropriate coverings so as to prevent germs in the air that the naked eye cannot see does not get trapped onto a patients meal at any given time. The meal trays was very dirty along with the crockery and cutlery!! This is all absolutely disgusting and appalling even worse because this is all happening in a health care setting! No wonder some patients end up getting sicker with other illnesses when they are admitted into this hospital!!! This hospital is in great need of a serial deep clean throughout including the hospital corridors. Its also greatly obvious that parts of the hospital is run down with wear and tear, even some bits of rotting/mud was noted in some bathrooms/toilets- so disgusting!! Also, I noticed one or two female nursing staff wearing far too much make-up - this is unacceptable in the medical world! But after all Ive stated, I felt the love and care from most of the nursing staff who clearly know how to do their jobs. And the majority of the domestic staff are very lively and friendly. The staff who deliver patients meals onto the wards are very friendly, lively and caring aswell , not to mention the staff who are responsible for handling out hot drinks to all patients. This hospital, in the meantime before it gets demolished and starts a new life at the new hospital in Smethwick, should aim to rectify its extremely poor levels of cleanliness.
