I have lived next door to one of the care homes in a residential street for 20 years. The first 17 years were without incident, in fact the carers and my family swapped presents at Christmas. Unfortunately, the last 12 months have been dreadful. A change in staff has led to poor parking habits, blocking off mine and neighbours drives and even, on one occasion blocking the entire street. It's difficult at the moment as, when the poor parking is challenged, the staff become verbally abusive and aggressive. Complaining to management doesn't seem to achieve anything, management is weak. Check out the express and star article 21st September 2021 to see how poorly led it is. Update: Jan 2022. The owner of this property has had to install CCTV to get a grip of their abusive and unruly staff, so far it seems to have done the job. I suspect they have finally been told to keep their mouths shut and use their driveway correctly. The staff have claimed to other neighbours the CCTV was fitted because their tyres were being let down which I know to be untrue as there is, and had always been, CCTV on my property which disproves their claim. I'm guessing they were trying to dismiss and cover up their abusive ways. I have corrected this point with the neighbours. Fingers crossed they have finally learnt their lesson about dealing fairly with, and being respectful of, their neighbours. PS: nine reviews for this bunch, three people directly employed by the trust, three more that have direct working relationships with the trust, all rating five stars with no comments. Wow, desperately working hard to get that rating up! UPDATE MAY 2022: and so it begins again, the CCTV had been taken down and staff are returning to their old ways. Five cars to one property, three of which are roadside parked opposite other houses. It's becoming dangerous, passing cars having to weave to get by, if they can get by at all. Won't be long before other residents begin to complain I reckon, I can see people getting angrier about the abuse of a peaceful area. They've now taken to locking a Cockerel in the garage all day and night, presumably to stop neighbours complaining about the noise. It hasn't worked, now I have to put up with Cockerel noise coming from the garage. Stupidity is too kind a word for these clowns, I just hope the Cockerel isn't suffering...UPDATE JUY 2022: Finally!! other neighbours have started complaining! hurray! they two have suffered the cockerel noise, rats from the back garden and poor, absurd and dangerous parking. The camera has now been reinstalled and the parking has returned to an acceptable pattern, the cockerel has gone.
