Large open field which is well maintained and split between adults only and family camping which is a bonus. Plenty of space to spread out with no marked pitches however as the electric points are in the centre we got blocked in by a caravan pitching directly behind us. The open nature also means there is a significant amount of road noise from the nearby A2 and noise from passing trains. Toilets and showers very clean and the showers were nice and hot. However their is only one accessible toilet and this would not suit someone in a wheelchair as there is no room to transfer. The showers are not accessible, something which could be improved with the addition of a drop down seat and hand rails and somewhere to sit once you get out. There is a small bar on site however we did not use this and there is also a shop selling camping necessities and a snack bar which wasn't open during our stay. The site is very conveniently located for walking into Herne or Whitstable however although close to the beach this isn't accessible from the site. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly and given the relatively low price I would recommend the site for anyone without the need for accessible facilities.
