Small, basic accommodation, in quiet & pleasant surroundings for a fair price. We discovered this place via Stilwell's, and stayed for 6 days, in one of the converted farm building apartments, listed as suitable for up to 4 persons. It was basic, but well appointed & clean, the countryside equivalent of staying in a Travelodge, only with rustic charm, and better scenery. For a larger group of people, there is also a log cabin available, although obviously more expensive. The apartment had just 3 rooms, the main kitchen/living/dining area, bedroom & bathroom. The main area consisted of an ikea kitchenette unit (hob, cupboard, sink) small fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle, so had pretty much everything you needed, just no counter or storage space for provisions. There was also a TV, butterfly table, coffee table, armchair, and sofabed within the room which we had to make use of being a party of 3 people. Too be honest, this was the only real problem for us, as we had to move all the furniture each night to make enough space to be able to open the sofabed, and then back again in the morning, which also meant with so little space, it was very hard to get past to the bathroom. In the bedroom, the bed was comfy enough, and had a small desk unit and double wardrobe, the only storage within the apartment. Based on our experience, lack of space and storage, I'd suggest these apartments are better suited to couples, it's just too cramped & impractical for 3 or 4 people. That said, the location is fantastic, with a large fishing lake to walk your dog around, and lovely scenic views. There is also another building setup as a sort of communal kitchen, which also has a washing machine & coin operated tumble dryer you may use, which was very useful, and free (open) WiFi. Plenty of parking, and easy access from the main road, although the sign is easy to miss. Steve the owner was great, very friendly & helpful, and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Having your name on door upon arrival was a nice touch, which also saves any confusion. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, quiet & relaxing, just as we'd hoped for.
